LINCOLN PARK | CHICAGO, IL
Alex found himself out along the luscious green space of the city's lakefront moving through Lincoln Park. His intent for the night was to set out for a bit of ghost hunting, to exercise some of skills. Even though he kept to the hidden paths, he wasn't quite alone in the park this late at night as his focus was more concentrated on his hunt than watching out for other people. He crashed into Raina who'd taken the evening to get a bit more acquainted with living in the city again and enjoying the park. Starting the chain reaction of having to deal with a very short temper.
Raina stood back to watch Alex, letting him make the first move after stating her intent to depart. It probably would have ended there if Alex's other senses hadn't picked up on a familiar scent. It put him on edge about as much as her. He broke the uneasy tension by drawing up a flash of fire to blind and stun then bolt from the scene. That only lead to Raina reacting in turn to give chase and tap into some of her enhanced speed to grab him and pin him against the nearest solid surface to demand what that stunt was about, unamused.
She may have had him pinned, but Alex had pulled his knife to level it at her gut. It was apparent from the trace ring of gold in his eyes that Alex himself wasn't entirely human though neither was Raina. He picked up the scent of Red on her, but she wasn't exactly one of them, not with the trace tattoos glowing which were starting to fade back to black. Alex clearly didn't like the Reds given everything he's been through, but neither did Raina and she made that verbally clear to him. Whether he believed it or not was another story. The two came to a tense parting, leaving each other to deal with their own thoughts about that night's little run-in at Lincoln Park.

MACHU PICCHU TRAIN STATION | AGUAS CALIENTES, PERU
The journey took the four closer to Machu Picchu, ending up close to the train station in the town. The train was still there and it looks like it was close to being ready to move. There were two dozen figures working to prepare and load the train cars while another dozen were on their knees around a tall scalpel framed man by the train. Of the prisoners gathered around this man, there was one of particular interest to him. A young woman with blond hair, ragged and dirty, eyes not quite in focus until she recognized the book tucked under the man's arm. This was Gwynedd Starling, the White Council bookkeeper and asset that had been kidnapped. Her father's in line to be member of the Senior Council and her mother is Captain of the Wardens. It looked like she was fight with the effects of the Red Court Venom like many of the other prisoners within the chain gang around this individual.
Rhea asked if there was a way to keep the train from moving, which seemed like something Lachlan could do but other than making noise would likely get prisoners killed. Ramirez noted that given their present group, there would be too many to fight without losing any hostages, possible even the Council asset as well. Liam was in agreeance as he pointed out the individual they were there to rescue if possible. Lachlan didn't have a better suggestion with pointing to Ramirez and Rhea, providing the idea to use her as a distraction to barter a trade.
The debate on what to do wouldn't last long as the train itself started to move. Leaving the four to act on the fly with Rhea's other idea to sneak in under a Veil to get on that train. Liam and Lachlan would go together and try to remove some of the rear cars while Ramirez and Rhea would head for the engine to disconnect it and keep the train from making much progress along the rails.
