Case File 2018.05.18
After quite some time away overseas, Raina Menendez finally finds herself in Chicago once more. Much has changed for herself and the city. Eventually she finds her way to Mac's for at least one place that kept its familiarity even with the passing of time. It did little to ease her mind, but just because a place was familiar didn't mean it wasn't good to keep an eye on one's surroundings.
Perhaps moments after Raina gets settled in with her meal, a familiar face passes through Mac's doors. Rhea Walsh. The woman was someone Raina had not seen in sometime and only vaguely knew since their last encounter. Perhaps she was an old face in a familiar crowd at Mac's as it seemed Rhea took note of her presence as well. The young woman kept to her seat at the bar, to order and enjoy a meal, making no move towards Raina just yet.
Only a short time later, once Raina returns to enjoying her own meal and keeping an eye on the room, Rhea finally approaches to greet her. With an exchange of polite greetings, the two catch up briefly on what each other has been up to since they last talked. Raina had been spending time in the Amazon helping people before deciding to come back to Chicago. Rhea had been keeping busy with the usual, but nothing she made specific note of to her. Though she did mention taking time for a road trip away from the city and finding that she did find the place to be more home than she'd first realized.
It was good to see Raina back in town. Rhea excuses herself so as not to be late, but makes note they should catch up a bit more later. Either at Mac's or perhaps over a cup of coffee. Raina mentions she prefers Mac's and that's something Rhea makes note of before packing up the rest of her meal and departing. Leaving Raina to enjoy her own meal and the rest of her evening for the night.
