Case File 2018.04.27

Alex made his way back to the library, after a study break workout and shower. Getting back to the books feeling a bit more refreshed. For once though, Rhea was not locking herself up in the library or room to continue pouring over her own research.

Rhea was out tonight, taking a change of pace from her usual routine. Making a more concentrated effort to get out and about in public, she was attending the Spring event for the Lincoln Square Ravenswood Wine Stroll. It was a reasonable stretch to walk made up of around 45 businesses, each pairing samples of red and white wine with savory hors d'oeuvers from local restaurants. It was one way to get a tour of the community and see new businesses coming into the area. It probably allowed the participating new businesses to drum up a potential customer base too. At any rate it was one way to keep an eye out for other things within the city of Chicago without looking out of place.

Lachlan was also out this night, though not out for a casual outing with tonight's Spring event. Coming to a very similar conclusion to Rhea's own, it was more a convenient way to get around and observe areas within the city. He'd observed multiple couples and some families out and about that hit upon uncomfortable thoughts of could have been... It wasn't too long into the evening before he spotted Rhea taking part in the event herself and moving over to catch up with Chicago's new Warden.

It was clear that Lachlan was still out for a hunt, but currently camouflaging his patrol of sorts within this evening event. He brings news that Sara, the one they'd both helped from that Red's den was doing well and taking to training within the fellowship. Rhea tried to keep a more casual conversation, mentioning her roots back in Savannah, GA but his mind was more focused on hunting. Making him a bit more awkward in this social setting. She calls him out on it a bit, reminding him to live life instead of burying whatever it is he refrains from mentioning. Either her word choice or the fact that she was figuring him out put him off, causing him to end the conversation and disappear into the crowd to continue his hunt. Rhea doesn't stop him, knowing he still needs time to work things out for himself. He didn't have to walk the road alone, but he isn't currently allowing himself to see that.
