Liam had spent some time at the hospital with Gwen to sort out what kind of trouble was dumped on them this time before leaving Rhea behind to stand guard until they returned. Elsewhere, he'd prepared for the chaos to come-- seated in a circle of chalk and summoning Harlowe. It didn't take long to get a response, Rumpelsti- or rather Harlowe didn't take kindly to being Named. Elena was not far off, just concealed until he'd made his appearance and held an ebony glass dagger close to Liam's throat. The only answer received in regards to the item Harlowe had stolen from Gwen was a glance to the Horn of Jericho tied to his side-- before lunging forward to attack Elena. In the blur of action, Liam managed to keep her from becoming a human Pez dispenser while ending up on the floor and forcing Harlowe to really take in his surroundings for the first time. Currently they were in some steel tower hundreds of feet from the earth...but that wasn't all that was present in this structure. Liam's insane back up of Red Court Vampires were also present.
They took no time in seizing Harlowe and the horn, neither did they waste time in betraying the original deal as Cabra, the Lord of Outer night, ordered Liam and Elena's death. The backstabbing move was something Liam expected, so it was little surprise to him when a third interested party appeared. Oberon proposed a different deal-- the vampires would be able to keep their lives and Harlowe to do as they pleased. The horn would stay with him and the other would be allowed to go free and about their business. Payment from the original failed exchange with Gwen was tossed towards them, recovered as the original transaction was never completed. There was something about this figure that made even a Red Lord give pause at arguing. In the end the group of Red Vampires left with Harlowe, leaving the horn and Elena and Liam unharmed any further than the fight with Harlowe had managed before their arrival. Elena wasn't certain what to make of this newcomer, but this was the part of Liam's plan that she was not privy to-- they wouldn't be getting the horn, it'd be taken by someone else that apparently could give a Red Lord pause for thought at crossing. Once it was quite once more in the room-- the two would head back to the hospital to figure out what to do with Gwen.
