The night for the most part seemed relatively quiet, and just a bit chill from the weather this time of year. Elena was staring into the void of the fridge contemplating food when Rhea found her, having decided to take a break to make some tea. A hot mug of tea seemed like a good alternative as Elena gave up on food for the moment to join in conversation over tea. Rhea admitting that her mind was still half elsewhere even though she was back in Chicago now. A place she realized she did call home now, it was the people that made it home...and since leaving Savannah-- she didn't think she'd have another home. Elena reminding her to reflect and make use of what she'd learned since that long trip and continue to move forward instead of dwelling on the past. It was the change and potential loss that kept part of her thoughts in circles, the events on Halloween night hammering home how quickly things could vanish. Elena pointed out that, good or bad, change would happen and without it things would get stagnant. Also making note that Rhea could end up losing time from actually doing things if she continued to get lost in the 'what-if' thoughts. Rhea needed to consider what she wanted for herself, and admittedly that wasn't a question she'd often thought upon. She diverted the conversation, needing more time to mull that idea over, asking about Asher and how he was...and mentioning it'd been too long since they'd had a meal at the Castle, something to keep in mind for the upcoming holiday.
