LIBRARY
It'd been months since Alex learned about Delilah's death, the pain still stung deep, but it had gradually got to the point where he wanted to move forward and do something with his life, the one she'd saved. He moved about the Castle a bit more than he'd done prior, seeking Rhea out until finding her in the library. She looked up as she knocked on the door frame and set her journaling aside to give Alex her full attention. He wanted to start helping her deal with the duties of a Warden, to be more involved and help others. Rhea was quiet for a moment, figuring this conversation was to happen sooner or later...it was similar to her own attempts in the past to find direction. Only she went about things by haphazard channels that didn't go well for her then. Alex didn't look as if he'd spent much time caring for himself, enough to question his focus and if he'd even brought the idea up to Liam. He didn't believe that his teacher needed to know, he wasn't his parent, stating his focus and practice was just fine. Rhea was a bit skeptical about that and corrected the fact that Liam was not just his teacher but also the Senior White Councilor-- not trying to pull rank, but Liam would have to sign off on this...it wasn't Rhea's place to state yea or nay. That didn't sit well with Alex but to his credit he'd managed to learn how to better control his emotions. He thought she was considering Alex to be stupid, but that wasn't the case...since the year's time of being introduced to the spooky-natural world he's improved. The prior cross country road trip after Gwen had shown that on several levels...it'd shown a lot for each of them. Alex had gone through a crash course trial-by-fire during the trip and managed to survive. He didn't push back with threats of just doing what he wanted regardless or degrade the conversation into a verbal spat between them like might have happened in the past. He had grown. He misunderstood Rhea pointing out Alex's appearance as a requirement...the intent was more to show he was taking care of himself again-- he used to dress so impeccably and currently he appeared scruffy and as if he'd just rolled outta bed. She was surprised when he left, still frustrated but even stating that maybe he wasn't ready yet was a big step even for him. He'd probably have a reasonably good chance talking with Liam when he was ready.
ARMORY
Elena could see the state that Liam, Rhea and Alex had returned in finally since their parting in Vegas. She'd been called back to Chicago while the trio plus one had run off to chase after Gwen. In their absence the Castle had felt cold and empty, and it was good to have them back once more. Liam found her cleaning Fidelacchius and musing his thoughts aloud at how the place didn't feel like home-- even though it was on the exact same spot as his old home...before it was blown up and burned down... The familiar walk was the same, but it served more of a reminder to the last moments that set his path down a different road-- one that had lead to his debt to Glorianna and to watch Cassie die twice before his eyes. She pointed out that it wasn't the location that made a place home...one needed a reason for it to be home. Liam quickly changed the topic to inquire how Asher was doing. Elena grins, says he'd doing good and she'd seen more of him and apparently he'd acquired a new roommate...the Comforter Buddy. The term Comforter seemed to cause his thoughts to stumble a bit, not familiar with it personally and as she'd filled him in on case they'd worked in conjunction between the three of them-- it made him curious to want to meet this individual. It didn't quite make sense with all the back and forth aggression between Asher and Buddy that the two would ever consider living in the same space as each other, but it had happened at the end of that case. Liam didn't quite know what to make of Asher...but understood perhaps more now that people loved who they loved or what they loved and the only thing once could do was try to survive it... At one point after their talk, Liam would turn in for the evening, wrapping that wrist after some rehab work on it...gradually strengthening it as it mended and hoping regaining his power was not as painfully slow as this physical aspect.
