Delilah was gone, and with no real lead to locate her at the moment...all that the weary threesome could do was push foward. At least there, according to something Liam knew, they had at least a direct to continue the chase after Gwen. To the everglades. They wouldn't make it there tonight, but likely tomorrow. In the meantime, they would stop just outside Gainesville, Florida close to a church for Liam to set up for the night. Rhea went ahead as the two men stayed behind to have a much needed talk after recent events. Alex was angry, livid-- he didn't understand why they weren't working to actively go after Delilah right now. He blamed Liam for the situation...if Liam had stayed his hand instead of shooting Wren back in Vegas-- they wouldn't be on this wild goose chase. It wasn't that Alex didn't understand what the man had done for him and was still trying to do, but the lines were blurring for him currently. Liam pointed out, reminding Alex, that they didn't know where she was other than with the White Court and none of them were in any shape to take the fight to their door right now. There would also be fallout from the Council as well given the state of this situation. Monty, as King of the White Court and whatever else he is in Vegas now, couldn't allow anyone to challenge him directly and survive. There were no allies they could call on at the moment and while this didn't make Alex feel any better, all he could focus on was destroying that man. He tried to change the subject on getting Liam set up for the night in a Circle, but was declined...this conversation wasn't over yet. Liam could understand the frustration and anger, admitting his gambit to trap Gwen had put Delilah in harm's way-- pointing out that demons don't have these kinds of emotions. Alex got it, it still hurt, but he was reminded that's the part that kept him human. The pain...the love...all of it... The 'thank you' Alex gave for the reminder, as his demon half faded, cut deeper in Liam and left him restless thoughts. The Lost leaving him alone this night...alone with his thoughts. It was a short time later when Rhea returned to pick up Alex with a hotel room secured and the two would get settled in for the night and try to eat and recover as best they could.
