Case File 2017.09.04
There was a brief delay in catching up, as the cab was returning the way it’d come after dropping Gwen off at Jay’s Motor Inn. They’d managed to pull the cab over and question the driver convincingly enough to get the address of where his last fare was dropped off and eventually making it to the motel. Gwen was barely coming to as the RV pulled in, and reacting to reach for the safe and that anchor— basically tearing the run down place into pieces as The Old Crow rose from beneath with Gwen and Rhea now on board. As the ship moved off Alex was urged to take the driver’s seat and use the RV to give chase. Rhea’s attempts to talk were cut short as The Lost had caught up with the RV and started their attack…which eventually spread onto Corvus’ ship as Liam eventually found himself on deck. Leaving both Alex and Delilah with the RV to deal with a particular spirit, of Corinna…the Blue Rabbit from Wanderland that had died after the incident which had nearly killed Alex. She had it out for Delilah…and anyone the woman cared about… The chaos of Lost, including some spectral wyvern, assaulting the ship above…while the rogue specter below attacked those in the RV— the situation for all parties was going bad, quickly. The RV ended up trapping Delilah in twisted metal during the crash as she’d prevented Alex from harm. Liam and Rhea went overboard into the water the ship was crossing…and that spectral dragon within The Lost was gaining— Gwen made the choice to release Corvus to act in his actual form, the Genius Loci and protector spirit in its true form similar to a Kraken reached out to drag that wyvern into its mouth…and abyss lined with rows of spine teeth. Gwen kept on the move after a momentary pause to witness that sight, stopping a car and punching the man in the face before driving off…reminiscent of a GTA move…and leaving the rest behind to sort itself out… Paramedics did arrive to extract Delilah from the RV wreckage…and to recover Liam and take the two to the hospital. Rhea and Alex would be treated and released back to catch up with the other two at the USA Medical Center in Mobile by around mid-day. Hopefully they would have time to regroup and recover just a bit before moving on…the chase after Gwen was far from over yet.
