The reception after the Ceremony was...none too dull-- considering the guest list ranged from a mix of the supernatural heavy hitters that'd taken time to come and attend this wedding. Perhaps someone like Delilah or Gwen felt at home in this dangerous crowd, making fake plesantries...but this was one gathering Rhea found slipping into the background after having been on center stage as the officiating Priestess was the more ideal plan for the evening. Plus who knows what was going to happen...especially in this crowd. This was perhaps as bad as Leeni's own celebration with her Choice some time back. It was almost as if the thought summoned the Queen of Spring herself as Leeni appeared just behind Rhea to have a chat. You can know a person for a time and then after an absence feel like you don't know them anymore...and that's what it was like for Rhea seeing Leeni once more. Uneasy as the conversation might have been...it was perhaps a safer one, provided she didn't do anything considered as a slight against the Fae Queen.
Elsewhere in the room, Liam had caught up with Alex, giving the young man properly the closest he was going to get in regards to a compliment relating to recent events. Outting the Bokar Farah and linking Brigitte as the mastermind surrounding their recent woes to this chaos. It was a brief conversation to keep on guard and try to make the most of the evening. Especially when Mara, an Aztec Goddess, decided to take some time to have a chat with her former associate, Liam. Delilah had a brief moment to catch up with her former teacher, Gwen. While perhaps not ideal, it was for the moment a brief moment of calm in the prior routine of chasing the woman across country for items stolen out of Wanderland's vault-- Gwen seemed apologetic at how Delilah had been mixed up in this mess. It'd be brief before Delilah spies Alex departing Liam and Mara's area and goes to catch up with him. It'd seem that Liam was indirectly running a bit of interference to deter Mara's curious interest in Alex.
Though the brief moment between Alex and Delilah to have a quiet moment after this chain of chaos to enjoy the party of sorts was soon intruded upon by Kel Reznor, the Winter Knight. It appears that he wanted to appraise the competition for his current job position. The intrusion didn't last long...it was more to size up the young man more than anything. Delilah kept him from acting rash against one of Winter's agents, but it didn't mean he'd forget. At some point in the evening Gwen manages to catch up with John LaCroix, who's help had been invaluable in making this Ceremony possible in the first place. If Brigitte's agent had succeeded in ending her life-- there was no way the James and Rosaline would have been able to be wed...and in front of so many witnesses to the event as well. There would be a lot of ripples for this day for quite some time within the supernatural community.
After ending his conversation with Mara, it didn't take long for Liam to spy Leeni within the crowd, currently engaged in a conversation with Rhea. The intrusion upon said conversation appeared to annoy Leeni, but as the Fae Queen dismissed the young Warden, she turned to hear out the Wizard-- former guardian and teacher to herself...Liam. She'd known that he had been trying to reach her, to call her. Their former relationship had soured since the time she'd made The Choice...she was just to be the Spring Lady-- however, Liam had ended up betraying her trust. Even if it was for all the right reasons...he'd killed her mother and ended up making Leeni the Fae Queen of the Spring Court. He was hoping that despite the past grievances that she'd be able to address the issue he'd been seeking her out for, not one he did lightly-- to care for the Ent's seedling. It seemed she recognized that Power as he made the request from the ancient tree spirit, offering it to her. A trace of the young woman Liam once knew flickering through as she accepted that seedling. There wasn't much left to say between to two, so he parted company after her dismissal to seek out Gwen.
The tension was to be expected, but for the moment both were acting as Host and Hostess for the newly wed couple, James and Rosaline. In a polite gesture for Gwen saving his life, he offered her a drink. A toast to James and Rosaline...followed by a dance, for them. The conversation was interesting, but perhaps what was more interesting was the relaxed attitude Gwen had now...that could be due to the GHB that Liam had managed to slip into the drink, working to put an end to this cross country chase...all he'd have to do was wait patiently. It'd taken a moment for Gwen to realize how with all her careful planning she'd slipped and ended up accepting a drink from him, though not expecting Liam to have drugged it...she'd been certain he'd have approached by different means. As she started to make her exit from the Benachi House, Liam followed...or tried to...he was briefly intercepted by John LaCroix for a congratulatory word about the night's events. This was not a man that could be ignored or dismissed...this was Baron Samedi...the one that'd kept Wanderlands Lost from entering New Orleans in its blind pursuit of Liam for the events surrounding Kismet's Table. The delay might have only been brief, but it'd provided Gwen enough time to hail a cab and make her way back to the place she'd been staying just outside of the city. Liam managed to crack the cab's tail light as he saw it drive off... it would be enough though. He collected Alex, Delilah and Rhea from the building-- hailing another cab to take them to the garage where the RV had been modified. It had been repainted, covered in sigils with a special recipe of ghost dust. The rear bead had been replaced witha steel circle laid into the floor. Liam had caught the three up on events-- Alex would drive, Liam would remain within the Circle and Rhea would be using the tail light fragment to track Gwen's cab. The chase was on...and night was not going to stop the angry Wizard this time.
