With the passing of night, and the chaos of events that's left for a restless evening-- morning yielded a brief respite to collect thoughts. Delilah had taken to breakfast, or more like the mimosa's currently available, in the dining room downstairs with Lucy. Liam had left with Alex a fair time ago, borrowing Crocker's car once more, to who knows where...leaving Rhea upstairs with James for the moment.
DELILAH TURNER & LUCY BECKETT The two ladies had spent time taking in the morning, observing the area for the most part. Each lost in their own thoughts from last night. Eventually Lucy broke the silence, asking how Delilah was feeling. It quickly became clear there was frustration and concern with trying to deal with her own Hunger and the actions of Alex. Lucy deflected a bit the pry into her own baggage, eluding her biggest piece of luggage was the secret Delilah discovered back at the Gator. Also pointing out that Alex means well, but he just doesn't think all his actions through. It leads the conversation to considering the future, what could happen...good or bad. It also made Delilah curious what Lucy was going to do once James married, they wouldn't be able to be together as they were anymore. Lucy hadn't thought that far out yet, but she'd figure it out...she wanted the best for James. He'd been there for her always and she owes him for that. What she wasn't suspecting was for Delilah to offer up the idea of being a personal bodyguard on her pay after the knot was tied between James and Rosaline. The idea as much as the young woman amused her more than the pay, so of course Lucy was okay with discussing the details in full later. For now, it was enjoying the moment and working to get to that point.
JAMES CROCKER & RHEA WALSH Rhea found James observing the city, appearing a bit restless as she came to retrieve another bottle of water. She'd spent most of the time since waking from sleep to begin mending and recovering once more. Even for not knowing the man as long, he was at least polite about giving thanks for the help last night. Granted things had escalated when she and Delilah had gone down to back up James and Alex...and it'd resulted in a few moments she was still trying to process in her mind. Even if James stated he didn't need to vent, she still had something on he mind. Asking him about the city...if this city changed a person. He admits as much that it could, provided one was open to change. She'd had a lot of firsts in her life, not counting the newest one fresh from last night's fight in the street. He points out she should embrace it...not to dwell on the past. To look back and make sure she didn't lose track of herself but to keep those eyes ahead and focus on where she's going. It was good advice...and something she was reflecting on after everything that's happened lately. She wondered if his pending change with the marriage scared him, and it didn't-- he'd already made his decision and was set on this path. Just because he was becoming something else didn't mean he wouldn't still be who he was...and that gave her something to mull about in her mind on a different level. At that point he decided to go downstairs for a drink, inviting Rhea to come along but she knew the best thing for her was to stay there and mend. Resting while there was time to do so as they didn't know when or what could happen next at this point.
LIAM WINCHESTER & ALEX DEWITT
The two finally made it to an abandoned fish packing plant before Liam spoke after securing the area for their purposes. He called Alex out on the fire he'd tossed during the fight last night, the intent to kill a human and breaking one of the Laws of Magic. Pointing out that not only did Alex retaliate with a non-magic weapon...he'd intended to kill that man. Then to top it off...got in the face of the very same Warden if he had managed to break the First Law to a level that couldn't be overlooked by Rhea. Most that took up the mantle of Warden had a more strict view of the job, just the attempt be it successful or not would have been enough reason to take Alex's head. It was almost as if Alex hadn't registered that Rhea had actually beheaded another person, a warlock, right in front of him last night. The young man was realizing he'd let his emotions get the better of him, and that he did owe an appology for his actions last night. Not even considering the burden he'd potentially put on Rhea...and Liam...and Delilah. With that out in the open, Liam addressed his new apprentice with a lesson...he was going to teach him a non-lethal combat spell so that Alex could react without potentially ending another's life and breaking one of the Laws. They'd train for some time, until a point of exhaustion that would require both rest and food for Alex. It'd allow for some time afterwards for him to regroup with Rhea and James. Being relatively calm until the call came into the room that Mambo Jenty...was dead.
