It was some time by early morning before Rhea finally came to after passing out from the venom being extracted from her body. Perhaps more body and spirit given the way it'd affected her on the whole. She could barely move and felt horrid. The first one she'd see upon waking was Alex, her former apprentice ended up staying in the room to watch over her until daybreak. Aside from reminding him to never taunt Murphy, there was a bit of time to catch up and collect her thoughts about what'd happened in those streets. About the time that she'd come to the conclusion that they'd ran across Justin's killer and pressed to know if Liam had said anything about them-- the man himself walks into the room. He confirms the speculation asking for Alex to give him and Jenty a moment alone with Rhea.
With the room clear for a private conversation between Liam, Jenty and Rhea-- she recounted as best as she could recall the events in the street as she and Alex left the morgue. The creature hadn't spoke, even though Rhea had tried to goad it to do so...but it also didn't bleed. The shots from her gun yielded not blood but ectoplasm from the wounds. It also didn't seem to do much until she'd drawn fire down upon it to stop the assault. What had attacked Rhea was unfortunately not a demon...and while that venom had been removed and she'd be alright having crossed through to the other side, making it to sunrise-- it didn't mean the creature wouldn't attempt another shot. That didn't bode well...and the two left Rhea to attempt to rest and mend.
Outside in the attempts to take advantage of the break to have a smoke, Alex encounters Farah on one of the benches. Aside from calling out the young man for a lack of sleep, she held polite conversation regarding the recent event's-- it's not every day one sees the after effects of a Loa attack, let alone having a victim survive. Based on Farah's explanation, it was a spirit or from the spirit realm. Loa basically had to be summoned, but right now the City itself was odd and it was likely the spirits could walk among them now. Speculating that perhaps there might be a Bokor in the city after all.
Shortly after ending his conversation with Farah...Alex would find Rhea was alone in the room once more. He'd brought some bagels and coffee in, though she wasn't quite in the mood for food of any kind just yet-- Rhea needed rest. Still...he wanted to help...even if that meant giving her somehow a part of his own energy. That couldn't be done the way he was expecting, but she could use his help in setting up a Circle to prepare healing herself. However, the first item on the docket was more rest to even have the energy to do so in the first place. Alex would leave her to nap for a little bit, then later the two could work at setting up her healing work space.
