While Alex had left Delilah for a bit to sort his own thoughts out-- the young woman found her way to the Bad Gator and a couple of new friends. By the time he caught up with her, Alex was just in time to catch the show of Delilah doing a body shot off of a blond girl on the bar. Apparently in his absence, she'd made a couple of new friends: James Crocker and Lucy Beckett. The chat was casual yet nothing to ease the tension for Alex to enjoy himself in the company of strangers. At one point Delilah got excited to urge James to do his little magic trick for Alex. It didn't sound like much until the man agreed and started drumming on the bar and caused a dead scorpion within a liquor bottle to start dancing. The trick didn't do much to ease Alex's apprehension around the strangers. In turn, Delilah decided to show off a card trick of her own before she and Alex had to leave. She was a bit upset that he hadn't liked her new friends and giving reasons why she shouldn't go out with Lucy tomorrow to color her hair and have a bit of girly fun. Apparently all the shots they'd had managed to loosen her tongue a bit, as she protested about never having friends, never had a say in anything let alone her appearance...and she can't have the nice boy in her life that had professed his love for her. Alex didn't want to disappoint her, but cautioned her to keep her guard up just in case. Perhaps it wasn't paranoia after all-- Delilah had forgotten her purse at the bar last night and decided to drop by a half hour early before meeting Lucy there. What she found instead was a ghoul, a twisted form of Lucy, having a snack in the back kitchen. As she screamed and started to run, something else slammed into her and hit her head into the floor before, unaware of anything after that point.
