Elena's return to Chicago had been quick...and a little strange. Time had passed differently in Wanderland, that pocket of Nevernever, when compared to the rest of the world. If not for the chaos that'd unfolded in Vegas, it might have counted for a decent vacation of a sorts...minus the death matches and gambling for power. While there was still something to catch up with at the office, it wasn't quite as much as if she'd really been gone for the span of time she'd been in Wanderland's boundries.
One of the items on her list was to touch base with Detective Foster, the last she'd spoken to him was before seeking out LaDragos. A task that usually ended up in bodies and little else... Calling that burner phone number she was able to reach Foster and inform him that the kid he'd been searching for, Ed, was found with the one she'd been searching for but unfortunately...the poor kid didn't make it... Leaving it simple, because to explain the 'other' details probably wouldn't go over very well for one she wasn't certain was in the know about the supernatural. The only other thing she would add is a word of caution, LaDragos would no longer be a problem for Vegas but someone would come to fill in that void of power in the near future. After concluding the call, rest was in order-- for once at home. Crashing over at Asher's place had given a bit of an odd moment briefly to see the familiar face of her departed husband when waking up earlier that day but she was starting to see him as his own person and not as a memory of the past.
