Leaving Wanderland and Vegas behind towards Tijuana to retrieve stolen items from the Vault was just the least of their problems. The trip had gone relatively smooth since the parting with Elena, and that should have been a warning sign that something was going to happen soon— taking the form of Alex, unaware, at ripping out one of Delilah’s molars clean from her mouth. Caught up in the haze of whatever dream or such occurred, courtesy of Mab, he’d been pushed in some way to attack Delilah before his sight was taken from him…leaving him with that last image of betrayal in her eyes. The sudden shift into action within the RV was jostling as both Liam and Rhea scramble to do damage control. Liam taking Alex outside for a chat while Rhea remains inside to help Delilah clean and patch up from the loss of a back tooth. A tense truce of sorts between the two guys at trying to work through this situation Alex was tangled up in, which started much of the adventure the four of them were on now, was struck. Giving enough time to suture up the injury and get back onto the road to Tijuana and hopefully catching Gwen. Hopefully by daylight…because the night would bring a different sort of trouble to their home on wheels.
Meanwhile, back in Chicago— Elena has just recently arrived at Asher’s door. Seeing him a bit the worse for wear and Tenzin also present in the background. Whatever had happened had required the aid of a Knight of the Cross and with Elena caught up in the events within Wanderland…another had been called to the Windy City in her place. After the other Knight leaves, it gave Elena and Asher a moment to breathe a bit of a sigh of relief. They’d catch up tomorrow with the details of events for both their recent adventures later…after some rest.
