Wanderland: Night of Incident

The night of Delilah's first date with Alex, is the night both died in one aspect. Alex's curious parentage allowed Liam and Rhea to work at reviving him. The heavy lifting more on Liam to knit the boy's spirit and body together while Rhea kept his heart functioning. After getting the young man stable, Rhea was left to monitor his care while a pressing issue needed to be addressed. Mainly that of a violation on Neutral Ground with the attack on Alex, knowingly or not. Delilah's chance at being human ever died along with Alex as that Hunger struck and devoured his soul to the point of killing him. Or nearly killing him in this curious case. Regardless, the fact remains that she violated the law of Wanderland by attacking another guest. Sterling, as the host of Wanderland, questions the young woman's actions regarding the incident and Alex's current state. Alive...but no longer able to fight as a Champion currently. It quickly becomes obvious that Delilah didn't know what she was..a Raith of the former Lord Raith, and sister to Monty the new White Court King. She openly states LaDragos sent her to Alex as congratulations, using an unassming weapon against the boy that would be disposable. Though the message was more directly delivered by Corinna, which unfortunately in this case results in killing the messenger. Even if LaDragos were behind the initial chain of events, it fell on the other young woman's head...his blue hare, to deal with the consequences. Rather than face the judgement of whatever came to claim her for violating Wanderlands laws, Corinna tore the blue lace ribbon from around her neck to cleanly severe her head off her body. It was likely a better death than what had been coming for her at Sterling's judgement.

The swift trial and judgement should have been the end of this matter, however...there was still the issue of Singh and Gwen's wager with a match between Champions. Alex was set to fight tomorrow, but was no longer able to do so. The advantage would be in Singh's court seeing as it didn't appear that Alex could or would recover after such an attack on his soul so quickly-- Sterling upholds the match as 'a deal...is a deal' and the Ice Queen would need a Champion or forefit both her token of Power and Alex's life. Even with Gwen requesting to postpone the fight due to the unusual circumstances of the evening, Sterling would not budge. Which is where Liam steps in and offers to be Gwen's Champion for the fight given the current situation. However a Champion has to have sponsorship from a recognized nation, having been excommunicated from the Spring Court...Liam has to submit himself under the Nation of the White Council of Wizards. The act itself surprises Gwen, but he points out that not accepting his offer would result in loss, in more ways than one. Though with Sterling accepting a second Champion in place of the first due to the current circumstance, it only seems fair that Singh be granted a second Champion to the match. Looking to LaDragos the man, Singh, asks the question on if he'd be willing to loan his Champion to fight Liam tomorrow in the Coloseum. A request that LaDragos agrees to in order to balance the scales for the harm caused by his wards resulting in the violation of the rules of Wanderland and the current mess of affairs. Tomorrow in the Coloseum, Councilor Winchester would fight as the Ice Queen's Champion against Singh's Champion, on temporary loan from LaDragos, known as The House.

Wanderland: Day After Incident

Alex finally comes to in his room exhausted, unable to really move, and facing Liam in person. Outside of the weakness he was alive, apparently white highlights in one's hair is a side effect of having one's soul mostly devoured, not that many survive to worry about that. Liam basically fills him in on the brief facts of why Alex feels like he'd been hit by a truck and then some. Alex had gone to bed with a succubus, a White Court Vampire, and the near-fatal encounter is the result of his current lack of strength. The combined efforts of Liam and Rhea managed to revive him, saving Alex from death. Plus, on top of that he had his first fight as Champion for the Ice Queen scheduled for tonight. Gradually having Alex piece together that LaDragos had used Delilah to kill him. Liam corrects him in stating that she'd been set up but is alive and off the hook for the unintentional attack that nearly cost Alex his life. Adding as well that Alex wouldn't have to fight, Liam would be taking his place. The anger at being called stupid, being saved more than once within a 24-hour span of time and chastised for bringing others into harms way was more than Alex could bare, even without much strength to keep up his verbal tirade-- it exhausted him more than he realized. Liam let him vent, it wasn't going to change anything. As of this point, Liam was taking responsiblity for Alex and would be his teacher now. Laying the ground rule that Alex doesn't get to tell him what to do...and he's going to do what he can to make sure no more of his family dies if he can help it-- Alex had used up what energy he had yelling, detrmined to keep on being stubborn before catching the last part about his family. Unfortunately he passed out before or 'if' Liam would even answer anything about his family. Watching as Alex fell unconcious again, Liam didn't answer...just reflecting on similarities. A bit of Liam himself, but more so in the relation to Cassie...perhaps making Alex the last true heir of Kemmler. Family mattered...and it's why Liam agreed to challenge an undefeated Godling in a fight to the death. He'd win, or both their lives would end.
