Wanderland, a vast pocket within the Nevernever, is a curious and immense place with different sections that seem to touch all over the world, time and beyond. Within a spot looking very much like an inspired Grecian theatre for a restuarnt, Singh waits for his guest. It doesn't take much as the Ice Queen, Gwen Teller, joins him at the table. Singh congratulates Gwen on her new Champion and casually mentions he too has aquired a new one of his own-- one he'd like to set up for a match. His new aquisition having been the former lycanthrope leader of a motorcycle gang around Chicago that got on the bad side of a demon who retaliated by killing his pack and ripping out both tongue and an eye. Singh offers the chance to match her Champion againt his for a modest bet, one token of power as stake. The two part ways, leaving Gwen needing to speak with Alex regarding this upcoming match as well as finding out any information possible regarding his opponent.
Meanwhile in the Champions' suite, young Alex finds an unexpected guest arriving at his door. Delilah stands outside waiting with a bottle, as he opens the door. Apparently she was sent with the bottle as a congratulations on his rise to Champion by LaDragos, to be good company for him this evening. Alex balks a bit at that last statement, not that she wasn't pretty but he didn't want to see her that way. She assures him that the details of how she completes her tasks are up to her, and the two sit to enjoy a bit of the wine and talk about what their parents might have been like. Alex promises to get her out of this place so she could live her life. The combination of closeness and wine soon escalate that talk into something for more intimate. Which unfortunately for Alex ended up killing him. Delilah only noticed after collapsing on him and finding him motionless-- Security found the youngest daughter of the deceased White Court King beside a dead Champion. Alex was dead.
Or would have been if not for something else...waking up the next day to vaguely familiar face. Rhea's former mentor, Liam Winchester. When the first words to pass his lips is "we need to have a talk" it's usually not a good sign. Add to that the physical feeling Alex feels as if he'd been hit by a truck after multiple rounds of chemo-therapy and a three week non-stop alcohol bender-- movement of the barest nature would be a miracle at this point. Weak beyond belief...he'd had nearly all of his soul devoured and only due to Alex's curious parentage was he still able to survive.
