Case File 2017.03.21
Last night left many unanswered questions, even if Sterling had provided the answers to some. Rhea caught up with Elena briefly at the bar trying to check in on if she'd had any luck or new info to go on yet. No such luck yet, though Elena would split up from Rhea at the bar to take a look around and see if there was anyone of interest on the casino floor. Rhea lingers around the bar to keep an eye out from a semi-central type area, most would at one point or another stop by or pass by a bar in this place. Before Elena departs, Rhea mentions she'll make her way back up to the room if she doesn't have any luck.
In the meantime back in the Pits, young Alex finds himself once again being tended to by Delilah after his second fight. It was clear that he was tired and didn't have a lot in him for conversation, but he did have some nagging questions on his mind. Some regarding sponsors and others centering around Delilah herself and LaDragos...and why things were personal. She couldn't give him any advice on the sponsors, some rules about speaking about other Players. No such luck regarding info around LaDragos either. But while continuing to tend to changing out the bandages and treat Alex's injuries, she did mention she had been here for as long as she recalls and whatever she knew-- dangerous or not, she was just another card to be dealt.
The conversation abruptly stops as Singh, another sponsor looking to win over Alex in accepting an offer makes his way to the Wildcard cells. The presence of the other man distrubed Delilah, as she just kept to herself and quietly continued to treat his injuries per Sterling's request. Alex wasn't entirely sure what to make of this newcommer, but notes Delilah's change in demenor as an silent indicator regarding what kind of an individual this man was... In the end Alex dismisses Singh's offer, not liking the vibe and seeing Gwen as the better of the two. Once the other man left, Delilah mentioned that if Alex intended on taking up the other offer, it'd be best to make that known as being a Champion for a sponsor granted more comfort and better accommodations. It didn't take long for the message to get passed along and Gwen to come claim her new Champion from the Wildcard cells and show him to a more comfortable suite.
Left to his own devices, and with the added information Gwen provided before departing regarding friends by the name of Elena and Rhea also being on the casino grounds-- he took advantage of the new freedom to wander around the place after cleaning up a bit. She didn't know exactly where the two were to relay that information to Alex, but it was enough to know so he could get situated and scout them out... Eventually he found Rhea at the bar just as she was about to leave, nearly missing her due to her height. Perhaps it wasn't what poor Alex's injured body needed at the moment, but Rhea couldn't help but hug her young apprentice as the mix of relief, anger and worry cycles through her mind. There's been several days since they'd last had their conversation at the Castle and he'd rather catch up with them both rather than tell the story twice. Alex mentioned Gwen had informed him of their presense in this place and that gave her a curious pause...the same woman that'd shown her to Wanderland... Either way, they'd catch up later, together...all three of them after Alex had some time to rest. One could only imagine what had transpired in the span of time for each of them.
