The Windy City’s personal Castle. For the interesting architecture that it is…it’s surprising there’s not a lot more tourist traffic surrounding the place. Must be something else that Monty added when the construction of the place was done over Liam’s former residence burned to the ground. At least it meant it was a quiet retreat for those part of or under the protection of the Better Future Society. At any rate, it was a welcome calm for Rhea after returning in the late afternoon from her ‘day spa’ adventure courtesy of Rachel. She’d never been to one, so there was no way for her to compare and know that the Allure De Vie Salon and Day Spa was a bit more classy than others in the area. She’d spend most of the time after her retreat from the outside world laying on the couch as muscles she didn’t realize she had ached and felt better at the same time. Plus she swore she’d never be able to stop flexing her fingertips like a cat after the mani/pedi treatment.
Alex laughed as he found the hot stone massage had pretty much done her in… clearly seeing that she had no clue how to really relax these days. It was out of concern for what ‘might’ happen by making Monty’s sister give a disapproving report regarding her dismissal of the polite health and wellness treat she worked so hard to provide. She had intended, despite the odd feel of her ‘spa treated body’ to head out for the evening but Alex couldn’t help but point out how much of a hypocrite she was to tell him to take it easy and pace himself and she couldn’t do the same by example. Rhea eventually relents to staying in tonight, even if it made her feel guilty, the young man had a point about taking care of one’s self…and she hadn’t been doing the best she could currently. She was a bit surprised at his speed as he almost blurs to situate himself behind her to help work out the rest of the knots in her muscles. The young man admits it’s not just he exhaustion, but that he doesn’t quite feel human— whatever Lucas had seen surrounding him with the Sight…he never spoke on it to Alex other than to say he was seriously conflicted and there was darkness. Rachel had brought up something before about some darkness surrounding the young man…and even in the Soulgaze she’d held with him after taking him on as a student…
It wasn’t a surprise he’d ask for a second opinion using her own Sight on him, but it was concerning that even Lucas didn’t want to speak on it much…what could he have seen? If knowing could possibly help him, she wasn’t going to dismiss it but she wanted him to be certain. Since today was turning out to be her ‘day off’ she’d stated she’d look tomorrow if he still wanted her to do so. She wasn’t certain what she could potentially see…but Rhea had witnessed some pretty disturbing things with the Sight already that still made her flinch but she managed to live with the knowledge. It just didn’t sit well with her that Lucas himself hadn’t said much…and he had been absent as soon as he could after the Naagloshii situation had come to some conclusion. What dark secret could surround Alex?
