The Chateau in France, secluded as it was, allows for additional time for Gwynedd and Jason to continue their conversation from the night prior. Obtaining a fair bit of information, yet determining a field test for more accurate results would be in order. Jason's abilities was unlike other mortal practitioners being able to tap into magical energies at ease without the use of verbal filters to shield the mind when channeling and shaping magic to one's will. The results were amazing...this man displaced in time could work evocations without words as the Fae. Though apparently there was more than that...an interesting collection of skills and the ability to quickly access them was uncommon. Something created...and by the Council themselves-- locked away and out of sight to hide as a long past mistake. Potentially the reason giving birth to those very Laws of Magic the Wardens were tasked to protect. The revelation of it all and what this meant-- what Jason himself was representing in some way...it would leave Gwynedd with more questions than answers and a restless night ahead of her.
Back in the Windy City itself, Alex had taken to a non-magic day of training instead. Seeking the solitary enclosure of his room while getting in a bit of a workout for himself. Rhea herself was feeling a bit out of sorts with the magical side of life, something that was more of a constant than anything else these days. An early night out had lead to feeling exhausted to the point of needing even a small break before attempting to go back out into the Chicago night air. On the way up to her room she had caught the sound and movement of Alex doing some form or workout. It'd been a moment since their last talk, so it was as good a time as any to check in on her apprentice. In all her time since Elena had extended the offer for Alex to stay, Rhea hadn't exactly paused to give a more proper tour of the place-- outside of the basic common areas and a few of interest to him...he probably didn't know there was a gym inside the Castle. It seems that he'd caught onto her mood as she tries to make polite conversation regarding the gym and offering to show him the facility. There was little one could want away from the Castle, other than peace of mind and that wasn't going to happen given the nature of the work she did. Though apparently her young student was concerned enough to poke and prod for a bit more information.
Though he did care to share just by his observation how scattered she was to be an easy con...and also remind her of her aversion and uncomfortableness at seeing him without a shirt. She would have tried to laugh it off and wave a dismissive hand at the idea of getting out to unwind if not for a new arrival closing in behind them. Rachel, sister to the silent benefactor of the Castle and White Court vampire, chose just that moment to chime in to agree with Alex's statement of a Rhea taking a moment to unwind. Of course the woman's idea was more of a spa day than hanging around at a bar to catch a few drinks and a show. The consensus starting to point to her needing some time off...not likely to happen. It didn't take long for Alex's attention to wander off to the point where he'd need to excuse himself from their company for the night. That left her to deal with Rachel...and she was not looking to continue the conversation about a 'spa day' at this time. Apparently the choice was removed from her as Rachel had pre-scheduled her for some appointment on Friday. Reluctantly she agrees-- maybe it'd be good for her...maybe...
