For the moment the city is quiet in its own way, even with many that call the place home making their way through daily routine and struggles…the night appears calm, for now. A late night class has Kevin, the young Changeling, wondering about his own life within the city. Between the worlds both human and Fae, he’s left alone with his thoughts. Contemplating the loss of a friend and classmate, Leeni, when she herself as a Changeling made the Choice and in turn took up the mantle as Queen of the Spring Fae Court. That particular night of celebration did not lead to a most joyous end as during the gifting part of the event to what should have been the Spring Lady of the Fae Court results in an unexpected turn of events. The scandal of that night had Leeni cast the Wizard Liam out from her courts…and leaving her to live with the loss of the former Queen— the gift of Power to make her Queen meant the old Queen was no more. Since the night, there has been little heard surrounding the efforts in the newly restored Fae Court once thought dead…such as another formerly dead court… Regardless, these events set into motion tore away one Kevin himself could relate to more in this strange world. Still conflicted about his heritage and seeking to live a normal life, it’s a far cry from that… Kevin is different, even if the outside ‘normal’ world thinks him a fan of body mods— until he himself makes the same Choice that his friend Leeni did…he will be caught between two worlds.
