Far beyond the Windy City the trio consisting of Liam, Mara and Jason continue on the hunt of the creatures responsible for the devastation back in the mountain castle within Ireland— find themselves at an odd encounter with a familiar face to some. The Earlking makes an appearance to those trespassing in his realm but in the end defers to the hunt of Jason, the Witcher, in seeking his prey. A curious encounter and exchange to say the least— though in the end the trail leads to another unusual creature put down and the ruins of yet another of the guardian’s strongholds of allies. It doesn’t appear that much will be gained in pursuit of the other areas, but the three press onward to discover for themselves.
Back in Chicago…Elena seeks a bit of piece and comfort in familiar territory, to prolong that relaxed atmosphere for as long as possible. However, that’s not to last too long as Rhea ends up catching up with her for a brief moment to fill her in on the current events within Chicago regarding Luna and Alex. As frustrating as it is not knowing if she’s doing enough, it’s some comfort to know that Elena has Faith in things working out…even if she can’t directly explain why at the moment.
In another part of the city…Kevin finds that one of the quieter classmates from his and Leeni’s classes is looking for someone— the assumption was they had dropped out but the concern and worry lends to more than what appears on the surface.
Within the Castle a bit of the tension eases as Lucas, Rowena and Alex collectively share a drink and conversation. A bit of casual banter that leads into Alex prodding Lucas for other instruction or training— still unsatisfied but somewhat mollified at Rhea’s point of view…he was by no means going to settle for anything short of his pacing. Agreed upon learning a mix of protection and fighting, Alex would start also seeking out Lucas for 'other' training that felt more up to his speed. In between the banter, Rowena had dismissed herself for a call and other work...for a different nature.
